My name is Ingrid Aufderheide, and I am from Minnetrista, Minnesota. I believe the Nonviolence Project is important because in an ever-changing world of violence, it is important to recognize how to make our voices heard peacefully. We must also to consider our past and acknowledge when we have made change through peace, while also reckoning with change made through violence.

My topics include a wide array of historical topics. I grew up learning about WWII and have acquired a passion for it and carrying on my Dad’s learnings about the Pacific Theater. I also have an interest in the Roman and Ottoman Empires. I also love learning about the influential writers of our past, specifically those that are women.

I am really excited to continue expanding my historical knowledge and expressing my passion for nonviolence through the NVP!
